Macross Posters Get!

I just bought this poster set two days ago. I was extremely tired these few days so I didn’t update my blog. Sorry! My baby kept waking up in the middle of the night for no reason. Anyways, when I went to the store called “Beans” at Aberdeem Centre, I saw some thin looking box with Ranka and Sheryl on it. I knew they were posters for sure but I never knew they existed. I didn’t read up on much upcoming products these days since my wife won’t let me buy stuff because she thinks that I should spend money on the baby instead. Which is totally fine with me. So I just talked to the store owner and ask for some info about these posters. They are pretty much random, so you don’t know what you are getting. I plan on buying just one, but I don’t want to end up with a guy character. And if I do plan on getting the whole set, it would be hard to draw for it. So I asked the boss if he had the whole set available. He said he did and I really wanted to buy it. But then I remembered that I wasn’t really suppose to buy anything or my wife will be unhappy haha. So I told the boss that I should ask my wife first. My wife walked into the store and she said if there was anything I want. I said “Lots” but I want these posters. She told me to go ahead and buy them because I haven’t bought anything in a long time. I took the whole box which had 8 posters in total. I still haven’t opened them yet because I am lazy and I have room to hang them up. I will open them tomorrow morning and do a review.

Reported “Soul of Anime” to the BBB – Vancouver B.C

I am gonna make this story quick. I bought a set of He’s My Master figures by Clayz from Soul of Anime. Few months later, I realize that a base should be included in each of these figures. I have 1 figure that doesn’t come with a base because I know it for a fact, so I thought this set might be the same. After I realize that these figures actually had bases, I went back and ask for the base. The boss said he stashed them somewhere and probably forgot to put in the box. (these figures were on display). He said he had them for sure and he had seen them. I was a regular customer and he does give me small discount so I guess I have some trust in this guy. After awhile, his store was going through some changes, so he said he didn’t have time to look for them. I forgot about them for awhile. After that, (A year later), I asked again, he said he had them at the shop and ready for pick up. So I went to Soul of Anime Nothing was there. At that time, The boss moved to Hong Kong already leaving his brother in charge. I pretty much told him, whats going on. He said he will call the boss again. The boss said he will only give me a $30 dollar credit back for the missing base’s. WTF, I thought he had them.  he pretty much said, take it over leave it. The boss brother said there’s nothing can do and it’s not his store nor it’s his problem. I told him if I bought a gundam from you, and it was missing the head, you will only refund me $5 bucks? These guy’s are pretty much axxholes. So i filed a report against the store.

Also, this store sells a lot of fake stuff.

Inside info: Some nendoriods are fake. some of the figma’s are semi fake. What it means is, the boxes have been stolen and reprinted and these figures are pretty much extra’s from the factory. he mixes them with the real ones to sell. It’s impossible to tell because the sticker on the box and everything is 100% identicle. He gets these fakes ones for around $80 bucks hkd.

Jun Planning Louise Limited Edition Review

Again, here is another quick two minute photo shoot without a tripod. All my pictures didn’t turn out great. Here is a better one out of the bunch.
This is my second review here on figure.fm. I am going to try to do a review of a figure everyday. Hopefully in the end, I will have enough figures to review. Well here is the Louise by Jun Planning. I bought her the Taiwan Comic Festival. For some reason, they only sold the limited edition one and not the normal version with the black dress. I got her for 1200NT which is less than $45CAD I think. I am a little lazy right now to do the currency conversion. this imo, is one of the better louise figures. Compared to one of my other louise’s, this is one is far superior because she actually looks like Louise. Some of the older Louise by Kotobukiya and Good Smile Company isn’t as good as this one. The paint job is pretty good on this figure. Shinny metallic paint was used on her gloves and some other parts of her outfit which gave this figure some depth and contrast. Other parts of her body such as her skin and hair had the normal satin looking paint that is used on mostly all pvc’s. This figure also came with a few cool accessories that you can change around. Unlike some figures, you can actually hold the these accessories without falling. One of the best part about this figure is the base. It doesn’t come with a normal circle base, instead it comes with a cloth cover chair object that matches the figure very well. I plan on picking up the normal version of this figure if I see one at a store and do a comparison

Overall, I will give this figure a 9/10. The skin tone could be a little better I believe.

Lolicon Legalization Petition- Canada

i am sure most people know that lolicon is banned in Canada and it is considered to be a criminal offense canada if he/she or she has any. I was surfing on the web and came across this petition about legalizing lolicon. I feel that simple drawings does not lead to a person becoming a child molester. Also, Canada is actually blocking every hentai related material it comes across from other countries. If you are living in Canada and want to order hentai from J-list, they won’t ship to Canada anymore because the canadian borders are blocking every hentai related material.

I think this is an act of violation to our rights. I am not saying this about lolicon only but to other hentai genre’s as well. The government shouldn’t have control over what people want to see. Canada claims to be a country that accepts different cultures but truely they are just hating on japanese hentai anime.

I am asking everyone (not just Canadians) for your support. The government does not deserve all this power to ban something just because a few people think it’s wrong. Lolicon or hentai is a form of art. And I don’t think art should be censorted in any way. we know protect our rights.

Queen’s Gate Alicex2 review

Hey everyone, I am going to do my first review here ever. I took these pictures in less than 2 minutes, so they are not very good. I didn’t use a tri-pod for these pictures so they are going to be a little blurry.I am going to keep this short.

I am going to start with the non grown up version of Alice. At first, I did not know what Queen’s Gate was. My cousin told me he’s been waiting for this figure for a long time so I helped him ordered one at the shop. It looked really good, so I decide to buy one as well. Honestly, I think Megahouse did an amazing job on this figure. I have never seen a figure this nice before. I am going to start with the hair. This is probably my favorite part of the figure. For once, it actually looks like hair. most of my figures don’t have hair like this. they usually look like a chunk of plasic shaped like hair. But Alice here actually has indivdual strands of hair. The paint job is pretty consistant through out the figure.I wouldn’t say it was super amazing, because pvc’s are not meant to have amazing paint jobs. The base of the figure is solid, so the figure isn’t leaning or anything. The only thing I would change about this figure is the paint job on the eyes. It would be better if the eye color was darker. Other than that, it’s a solid figure.

The grown up version of Alice is just as good. I would say the detail of the hair is ever better than the mini Alice. The paint job over all is the same as the mini Alice. I guess Megahouse did read my mind about making the eyes are little darker which I thought was awesome. The box was huge for such a small figure. Also the price tag was pretty high when I bought it in Hong Kong. The base of the figure I thought was great because it’s almost rock solid. Megahouse was smart enough to make a support for the knee of the figure.

Overall, I will give these figures both 9.5./10 because they are simply amazing. The paint job could been better on parts of these figures, but what do you expect from mass produce pvc’s. As long there are not scars and gashes on the face, I am happy

Francast relaunch

It’s been awhile since I updated my blog. I admit, I got really lazy. And also, I didn’t really recieve much anime related purchases since I came back from Taiwan and Hong Kong in march. All I got were lots of hentai comics, hentai  DVD’s and a Demonbane chogokin. Not sure if people want me to do reviews on hentai DVD’s because I don’t want to look like a sick pervert haha. Well just recently, I was on dannychoo.com and it seems that Kotobukiya wanted pictures of otaku rooms for a book. So danny called the winners from his previous giveaway to participate. Luckily, I was one of the winners and I think my room will be in the promotion poster or something? I didn’t read clearly so I am not sure.
